If you're chasing sunshine, salty air, and scroll-stopping views, we’ve got some seriously photogenic news: Pompano Beach has landed a spot on the list of Florida’s Top 10 Most Instagrammable Beaches! A recent study of over 550 Florida beaches ranked our slice of paradise alongside some of the state’s most iconic destinations—and for good reason.
So, what makes Pompano Beach a social media star?
Let’s start with its golden sand and aquamarine waves, perfect for sunrise snaps, outfit pics, or beach day Reels. Add in our iconic Fisher Family Pier, and palm-lined promenade, and you’ve got the ultimate backdrop for your next post.
And don’t forget the lifeguard towers, painted in bold, tropical colors and each one featuring a different sea creature! They’re the ultimate backdrop for a quick snap or a full-on family photoshoot.
Spread Your Wings with “What Lifts You Pompano”
One of our newest selfie spots is already soaring on social: the “What Lifts You – Pompano” mural by globally recognized street artist Kelsey Montague. Located in Old Town, the mural invites you to step between a pair of butterfly wings and strike a pose. It’s part of the international #WhatLiftsYou movement, and an instant way to add meaning (and flair) to your post. (You’ve likely seen Taylor Swift in front of one of Kelsey's wing murals.)
Find it on the wall adjacent to Old Town’s Backyard.(41 NE 1st Street)
Meet Reef Rider
Just south of the pier, along the beach promenade, you’ll find Reef Rider, a larger-than-life seahorse sculpture that’s already making a splash. This quirky public art piece is perfect for selfies and silly group shots, and it won’t be on land forever. One year from now, Reef Rider will dive into the deep, becoming part of the Lady Luck wreck in Shipwreck Park’s legendary underwater sculpture garden. A perfect place for divers to snap a “shellfie.”
Ready to get the shot? Whether you're posing in front of a lifeguard tower, striking a winged stance in Old Town, or snapping Reef Rider before it swims off to its next home, Pompano Beach is packed with places to post. Grab your phone, hit the sand, and start sharing the sunshine. Don’t forget to tag @visitpompanobeachofficial on Instagram or Facebook so we can share the love!
