Accessible Travel

Pompano Beach is welcoming to all! Spend a day at the beach basking in the sun and balmy breezes, attend a concert at a popular music venue, and stay at a beachfront hotel with accessibility-friendly suites and amenities. We want everyone to feel our warm welcome and leave with unforgettable memories.

Barrier-Free Hotels

Pompano Beach hotels welcome everyone seeking fun, sun, and adventure.  Enjoy accessibility-friendly amenities like elevators, pool lifts, closed caption TVs, roll-in showers, and a warm welcome for service animals.

Consider the Beachcomber Resort & Club, Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, or Home2 Suites/TRU by Hilton Pompano Beach–all offering excellent accessible rooms and features for guests with mobility, sensory, and hearing needs. These are just a few examples of Pompano Beach's ADA-compliant hotels.

Inclusive Attractions

Pompano Beach welcomes everyone to experience its sun-kissed shores and vibrant attractions. No matter your ability, a fun-filled day awaits.

Beach Bliss for All: When you’re ready to enjoy the beauty of the beach, look for six wheelchair access points sprinkled along the shoreline. For those who need access to a beach wheelchair, there are two available for public use on a first-come, first-served basis seven days a week. Find one of each at Lifeguard Towers 2 and 7 (9 AM to 4:30 PM). Just remember to return it a half hour before closing. No reservations needed, but arriving early, especially during peak times, is wise.

Park Fun: We take pride in our ADA-accessible parks, with Sgt. Kip A Jacoby Park leading the way. This inclusive playground boasts equipment that encourages side-by-side play and fosters physical, cognitive, and social development in children of all abilities.

Inclusive Entertainment: Don’t miss a concert or event at venues like the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, known as The Amp, which has ADA seating and a sign language interpreter, who is available upon request.

Tee off Without limits: Golf is another favorite pastime, and the Pompano Beach Golf Course has an adaptive golf cart for patrons who are mobility challenged. Reach out to the golf shop at least 24 hours before play to secure one of the Solo Rider golf carts.
