Arts & Culture

From the pompano-shaped Fisher Family Pier to the colorful sea-themed sculptures throughout Pompano Beach, arts and culture hold a special place in our community. Our city offers a rich tapestry of artistic experiences, including world-class venues, galleries, live music, and public art, for art lovers of all kinds and families.

World-Class Venues & Public Art

Pompano Beach boasts four prominent arts and culture venues that warmly welcome everyone.

The Pompano Beach Amphitheater, or The Amp, brings in world-class musical acts from various genres. Here, you can immerse yourself in everything from rock and roll to rap within the comfort of a fully-covered, open-air 3,000-seat venue.

The Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA) is sprawling with the work of visual artists, and nearby, the Ali Cultural Arts Center celebrates the arts and culture of the local African-American community with its spoken word, storytelling, and theater. The Pompano Beach Cultural Center is just across the street and is known for hosting theatrical performances and music.

If you're a fan of art and want to enjoy it at any time, take the opportunity to explore the wealth of public art throughout Pompano Beach. You'll find stunning marine murals adorning the beach garage and underneath the Atlantic Boulevard bridge, colorful pompano fish sculptures scattered around the city, and inviting benches with beautiful mosaics.

Year-Round Events

The best part about culture in a community is how it brings people together, and Pompano Beach has plenty of arts and cultural events that all can enjoy.

Old Town Untapped takes place on the first Friday of every month and gathers vendors, food trucks, live music, and local restaurants and bars. Shop fresh with the Green Market, where local farmers, bakers, and makers sell their wares on the second and fourth Saturday of the month from November to April.

Music lovers should mark their calendars for January for the city’s Jazz Fest, showcasing an impressive lineup of local and Grammy Award-winning jazz performers. In April, the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival allows you to indulge in decadent seafood while enjoying live music, boat and car displays, and arts and crafts.
