The journey is easy regardless of your reason for coming to Pompano Beach—visiting friends and family, a weekend getaway, or traveling for a sports tournament.

The closest international airport to Pompano Beach is the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, just 15 miles away on Interstate 95. After getting into a rideshare or picking up your rental car, hop onto I-95 and head north. Should visitors fly in through Palm Beach International Airport (36 miles) or Miami International Airport, 37 miles away, Pompano Beach is still easily accessible via I-95. Finally, travelers flying aboard private planes can land directly in the city at the Pompano Beach Air Park.

If you’re embarking on a road trip to Pompano Beach, you’re in luck! Our city is located directly off I-95, with major exits including Cypress Creek Road (exit 33), Atlantic Boulevard (exit 36), and Copans Road (exit 38). You can also access us  through the Florida Turnpike for drivers coming from further west for their weekend getaway. Heading northbound, take Atlantic Boulevard east (exit 66); driving southbound, get off at the exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd/Hammondville Road (exit 67).

Railway or Bus

South Florida also has a large selection of railway and bus options to get to Pompano Beach. Out-of-town visitors taking the Amtrak can get off at the Fort Lauderdale station to the south or Deerfield Beach to the north. Locally, the Tri-Rail Train has a stop right in Pompano Beach, and for riders aboard the Brightline, Pompano Beach is located between the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale stops. If you prefer traveling by bus, the closest stop for the Greyhound bus is in Fort Lauderdale.
